Terms
The plain-language version of what you get when you buy Dabbit.
Last updated
The license
Dabbit is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. A license is one person’s, for the number of Macs it was bought for: 1, 2 or 3 (from $19). The key that comes with it activates on that many Macs at once. You can deactivate a Mac from the app’s License settings to free the slot for another one, as often as you need.
A license isn’t shared: two people need two licenses, whatever the Mac count. Need another Mac later? Buy another license for it; the app is happy with a different key on each Mac. Don’t resell a key, publish it, or work around the activation limit.
Updates
Every release published within 12 months of your purchase is included, delivered through the app’s built-in updater. After that date the version you have keeps working, without limit. Releases published later need a renewal: $10 for another 12 months, counted from the end of your current period if you renew before it, or from the day you renew if after. Renewals are optional and never automatic. A renewal key extends the license it’s added to; on its own it isn’t a license. A build published after your period and installed by hand pauses picking until it’s covered; every earlier build stays downloadable from the changelog.
The trial
You can use Dabbit for 5 days without a license, with everything switched on. When the trial ends the app pauses until it has a license key; nothing you made is deleted, and it all comes back with the key.
Refunds
If Dabbit doesn’t do what you bought it for, email us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you. We’d rather hear what went wrong, but the refund doesn’t depend on it. How refunds work.
Payments and license keys
Purchases are handled by Polar, which acts as merchant of record: it charges you, handles taxes and issues the license key. Polar’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the checkout.
Requirements
Dabbit runs on Apple silicon Macs only, macOS 14 Sonoma or later. There is no Intel build. The trial is there so you can check it does what you need on your Mac before paying.
The usual disclaimer
Dabbit is provided as is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it is free of bugs or that it suits every purpose, and our liability is limited to what you paid for it.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is published here with the date. Changes don’t take away anything a license you already bought included.
